YogArt: A YOGA & ART FOR CHILDREN
Age level: 8 - 14 years old. Class limited to 10 students.
Monday, October 6, 13, 20, 27, November 3. 4 pm - 5 pm
Instructor: Char Wederbrand
Fee: $70.00. (5 sessions). Art supplies included. Students need to bring their own yoga mat.
ADVANCED REGISTRATION REQUIRED.
This fun class combines the fine art experience with the practice of basic yoga movements and positions.
Each session will include a yoga practice paired with sketching, priming a canvas, and painting in acrylics to create a finished work of art.
Classes will focus on students body awareness, breath control, fine motor skills as well as provide an encouraging environment for creativity.

CREATING PUMPKINS OR BANKS WITH CLAY
Age level: Children 6 years old and older.

Students will learn how to expand their imagination and creativity by using clay as a medium to create either a money bank or a pumpkin. Hands-on experience and demonstrations will teach the students how to transform a ball of clay into banks to look like dogs, cats, mouse, etc. or a pumpkin.

CREATING FISH SCULPTURES
Age level: Adults. Class limited to 7 students.
Monday, October 6 & 20. 10 am - 12 noon

ADVANCED REGISTRATION REQUIRED.
Fee: $70.00 - Members. $80.00 - Non-Members ALL SUPPLIES INCLUDED
In this two hours session students will explore various clay sculpture techniques such as slab throwing & rolling, cutting out design, texture application to create a 3-D fish sculpture. Other designs will also be available to choose from. Students will personalize their work though the use of texture and glaze.
Class will include demonstration of throwing slabs and hands-on clay building lecture providing tips for successful products.
No experience necessary. Students will be able to pick up their finished sculpture two weeks after the class to allow for drying, cleaning and firing the pieces properly for the completed product.

RELAX WITH DOODLES & NOODLES!

Take the time out from your hectic life and enter the relaxing world of Zen-doodling. This 2-hour art class is designed for people who want to learn a technique for relaxing, for building their artistic ability, and for adding to their doodle repertoire. Afterwards, delicious noodle pudding and beverage will be provided for your ultimate relaxation experience!

Have fun learning this simple style of drawing which allows you to follow your own thoughts and creative impulses by using repeating lines in small areas.
During the class, participants will:

• learn the basics of thoughtful doodling,
• learn some basic doodle patterns, and
• complete a design, ala Gustav Klimt.

INTRO TO DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY
Age level: 18 years old and above
Thursdays: October 2, 9, 16, 23. 7 PM - 8 PM

Fee: $60.00
Prerequisite: Each student should have a DSLR (digital single-lens reflex) camera and e-mail
Discover the possibilities of digital imaging in this introductory course. Students will be introduced to basic camera functions and three camera settings such as: aperture, ISO and shutter speed (the "exposure triangle"). Students will practice and learn the skills and confidence in using the DSLR in manual mode.
Hands-on demonstrations and lectures will be complemented by short field trips around downtown Berlin.
