WCAC Grants
The Worcester County Arts Council is providing Community Arts Development Grant money to 9 art programs that will take place in Worcester County between January 1 and June 30, 2008.

The following is a list of organizations and their events that are being awarded a Community Arts Development Grant for the current granting period:

Art League of Ocean City – Various Art Exhibits

S.H.A.R.P. – Arts on the River: Winter Blues Jam

Mid Atlantic Symphony Orchestra – Symphony Concerts

Berlin Intermediate School – Artfest 2008

Delmarva Discovery Center – Art Competition

Ward Museum – Ward World Championship Wildfowl Carving Competition

Worcester Career & Technology Center – Arts & Technology Heritage Festival

Pine Tones Chorus – 2008 Summer Concert

Old Fashion Memorial Day





The Worcester County Arts Council’s Community Arts Development Grants program is designed to assist local community based groups produce and present arts activities in Worcester County and is funded and supported by the Maryland State Arts Council.

The event or activity must be open to the public. The applicant must be affiliated with non-profit group, or a government related organization, such as school or park & recreation department located in Worcester County and the amount requested must be matched one-for-one by organization funds.

The next deadline for applications to be received in the Berlin office is May 15, 2008.

Credit for the grant must be given to the Worcester County Arts Council and the Maryland State Arts Council as one of the requirements.
