Annual Membership Meeting/Picnic
On Sunday, June 1st, the Worcester County Arts Council will be having its annual meeting/picnic from 12 noon to 3 pm, at the White Horse Park Pavilions in Ocean Pines.
Enjoy pig roast and picnic style food, drinks, games and fun for the entire family as we celebrate together the many successes that this year has brought.
Entertainment will be provided by “the Jay Hoad Trio” performing a mix of jazz standards and familiar popular vocal tunes.
Admission is free with a $5 donation requested.
Watercolor Class
Paint Lighthouses with Barbara Doyle Schmid at the WCAC Snow Hill Gallery
One day watercolor class on Wednesday, July 9, 2008 from 9:30 to 2:30 pm at the Snow Hill Gallery located at 218 North Washington Street.
The cost is $30.00

OCEAN PINES PLAYERS TO STAGE “SOCIAL SECURITY”
The delightful adult comedy "Social Security" by Andrew Bergman directed by Edie Brennan is in rehearsals.
The play is the story of a sophisticated Manhattan couple (Dave Miller and Em Hench) who have her 80-year-old mother (Marie Overtoon) dropped on them by their Long Island suburbanite relatives (Herb Steinberg and Gina Ashton).
In a surprising twist, it's the old lady who finds love with a famous 98 -year- old artist (Andy Stasny) in the midst of everyone else's unraveling lives.
Irish Breakfast Band Comes to the Mar-Va Theatre
Saturday, May 10 - 7pm at the Mar-Va Theater
This is a children friendly concert!
Fun-filled, family oriented program of Celtic music and dance.
The award-winning Irish Breakfast Band has performed extensively in the Washington metropolitan area and has published several CD's of their music.
Tickets: $10 per person

Berlin Performing Arts Center Initiative
“A place to gather together,
to share, to be entertained and
to celebrate the diverse
culture within a community.”
Berlin Performing Arts Center Research Committee (PAC for short), asks for your support in the current phase of the Performing Arts Center Initiative.
Economic Feasibility Study conducted by the County clearly showed the need for a Performing Arts facility somewhere in the northern county.
The study confirmed that such a venue would fill a great cultural void in the community while providing a positive economic impact.
Watercolor Classes
Worcester County Arts Council is pleased to offer watercolor classes conducted by an award winning local artist, Barbara Doyle Schmid.
Florals – Wednesday, May 28, 9:30 – 2:30 pm.
Dunes and the Beach – Wednesday, June 25, 9:30 – 2:30 pm.
Both classes will take place at the Snow Hill Gallery located at 218 North Washington Street. The cost for each class is $30.00

ART INSTRUCTORS WANTED!
Worcester County Arts Council is looking for talented and enthusiastic art teachers/ instructors willing to teach a class or workshop in the visual or performing arts. Interested applicants are required to send a short resume and letter of interest outlining the class they would offer.
