Work Description: Acrylic and Mixed Media
Biography: Carol has been in love with art since she could first hold a crayon. Early encouragement by her grade school teachers led to her first sale of a painting (a puma on a rocky ledge) when she was a freshman in high school. She graduated with degrees in Science and Art from Westfield State College (Massachusetts) and combines both those interests in her artwork. Former careers in Microelectronics and Interior Decorating honed her talents for detail and composition, and especially her love of texture and color.
Carol creates mainly with acrylics on designer paper. Her dotting technique was inspired by the beautiful mandala designs used to calm and comfort the mind. Birds and ocean creatures are her most frequently painted subjects.
She is a member of Worcester County Arts Council, Berlin, MD Art League of Ocean City, Ocean City, MD Rehoboth Art League, Rehoboth Beach, DE DAC Next Edition, Rehoboth Beach, DE
