Work Description:
Watercolor Paintings

Biography:
I have a creative side, having made all kinds of craft items through the years (sewing, knitting, craft acrylic painting), but when I started taking watercolor classes in 1999, a whole new world opened for me. I don't know why, but I can't put down a paintbrush. Since I moved to the Eastern Shore, I've become mesmerized by the marsh, ocean, sand dunes, clouds, and shore birds. I'm always thinking about how to paint a scene.

Prior to moving to the Eastern Shore, my husband and I worked in Baltimore for 15 years and lived in New Freedom, PA, a small town northwest of Baltimore...a great place to raise our children. I studied watercolor painting for 8 years with Pat Thorn, a prolific artist in Shrewsbury, PA, and have also studied with Lynn Yancha, George Clarke, Willie Crockett, and Nancy Thompson.

I am a member of Worcester County Arts Council, Eastern Shore Art League, and the Arts and Crafts League of Captain's Cove, Greenbackville, VA. Also, I am a past member of York County Art Council in York, PA.

I love being outdoors. When I walk around my home, play golf, or walk on the beach, I gaze at all of nature's spectacular views. I enjoy painting my surroundings....shore birds, beach scenes, marsh scenes, golf course scenes, and all the beautiful flowers. I hope I can convey to the viewers what I see and give them as much joy as I have when I'm painting.
