Work Description:
Watercolor and acrylic painting

Biography:
I paint to capture a moment such as a misty beach scene or a still life with a rock in it. I enjoy interpreting what I see and encourage you, as a viewer to do the same.

I have been a full-time resident of Ocean City for 16 years. Prior to that my, husband and I lived in Salisbury for 12 years after having raised our family of four in Montgomery County, MD.

I have been an artist since high school. I attended Colorado Woman’s College (now part of the University of Denver) for 2 years and graduated with an associate degree in liberal arts with an emphasis on fine art studies. At that time I participated in classes in real-life model drawing, design, color theory, and art history. Since that time I have taken continuing education art classes in Montgomery County, Wicomico Art Institute, Wor-Wic Community College, and a masters photo workshop at Salisbury University.

I’ve had the opportunity to teach some art skills to girl scouts, high school teens’ after-school program, and summer camp for elementary students.

Currently, I am the Secretary of the Worcester County Arts Council’s Board of Directors and a member of the Ocean City Center for the Arts and have been a member of the Gallery Co-Op of the Worcester County Arts Council since May 2011.
