Worcester County Arts Council Board of Directors

Moved to Ocean City, Maryland in 2006

I became active in the Worcester Arts Council at that time.  I was a WCAC Board Member for several terms.  I am a working artist in watercolor and acrylic paints and also a member of the Art League of Ocean City and the Ward Museum in Salisbury, Maryland.

I am now an active member of the WCAC CO-OP Committee; Hanging Committee; and soon-to-be Secretary of the WCAC Board.  I served on the WCAC Board for several years and was involved in landscaping, handicap ramp, and setting up a new air/heat system for the building, plus taught some classes in the summer education program.

As a student at Colorado Woman’s College in Denver, Colorado (Now University of Denver Woman’s College) I graduated with an Associate of Arts Degree with an emphasis on art and art history.  I’ve studied with various private instructors over the years and have worked in tempura and oil and now concentrate on watercolor and acrylic.

There aren’t many museums I’ve not visited in all my travels.  I only have one American state left to visit and that is North Dakota.  I’ve been to Hawaii and Alaska several times plus some of the territories in the Caribbean along with Mexico and Canada and the Mediterranean.  Museums were my top priority to visit in those countries, states, and cities.   My favorite museum in all of the US of A is the Dali Museum in St. Petersburg, FL.

I love the gallery work and the promotion and sale of the artwork of the COOP members.  I find the visitors and patrons really appreciate the classy presentation of our members’ paintings, sculptures, jewelry, pottery, glass, metal, and silk.  I would like to see more recognition for the service we provide to the visitors of the city of Berlin and Worcester County.
